Privacy Policy

Plain summary

Glasslab is an independent studio in Canada. We build glance tools for Meta Ray-Ban Display and similar wearable web apps. This policy explains what we collect on glasslab.app (marketing) and on our product apps — starting with Glass Chart at charts.glasslab.app — and how we use it.

We do not sell your personal information. Chart prices and candles are educational, not financial advice.

Who we are

Glasslab (“we”, “us”) operates glasslab.app and related product sites under the glasslab.app domain.
Questions or privacy requests: hello@glasslab.app.

We are not affiliated with Meta Platforms, EssilorLuxottica, Ray-Ban, or Stripe beyond using their platforms as customers/developers.

Scope

This policy covers:

SurfaceURLRole
Marketing sitehttps://glasslab.app (and www)Product info, enable guides, legal pages
Glass Charthttps://charts.glasslab.appProduct app (auth, plans, chart glances)
Other Glasslab appse.g. Fish, Golf when launchedSame studio; same policy unless a product posts its own notice

If a product later publishes a more specific notice, that notice applies to that product together with this policy.

Information we collect

1. Marketing site (glasslab.app)

  • No account is required.
  • If you email hello@glasslab.app (or aliases that deliver there), we keep the correspondence long enough to reply and run the business.
  • Hosting logs (typically via Vercel): IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps — to operate, debug, and secure the site.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 when a measurement ID is configured (marketing stream). The tag can be blocked by browser settings or extensions. We use it to understand which pages are visited, not to sell ads about you.

2. Product apps (Glass Chart and future Glasslab apps)

When you use a product app, we may process:

Account & sign-in

  • Email address and authentication identifiers via our shared identity project (Firebase Authentication on Google Cloud).
  • Sign-in methods we support today: email magic link and Google sign-in.
  • Magic-link emails are sent from noreply@glasslab.app (or related Glasslab addresses) so you can finish signing in.
  • We do not receive or store your Google password.

Profile / app preferences

  • Settings you choose in the app (for example watchlists, display preferences, plan selection UI state), stored in that product’s database (typically Cloud Firestore for Glass Chart).

Billing (when you purchase a paid plan)

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive subscription status, customer identifiers, and related billing metadata needed to unlock paid features.
  • Card numbers are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on Glasslab servers.
  • Checkout and customer portal sessions may be created through shared Glasslab billing endpoints on glasslab.app.

Usage & diagnostics

  • Product Google Analytics 4 (separate measurement ID per product when configured).
  • Error monitoring (e.g. Sentry) — crash/error reports that may include device/browser metadata and stack traces. We configure alerts for reliability; we do not use this to sell your data.
  • Hosting logs similar to the marketing site (Vercel / Google Cloud).

Wearable / Display context

  • Glass Chart is designed as a Display Web App glance UI. We do not require microphone access for the web glance. If a companion phone flow collects input, that input is treated as part of the product session under this policy.

3. Information we do not intentionally collect

  • We do not ask for government ID, precise home address, or payment card PAN on Glasslab forms.
  • We do not scrape your brokerage accounts.
  • Market prices/candles shown in Glass Chart are for education / glance UX, not a personalized investment recommendation about you.

How we use information

  • Provide and secure the sites and apps
  • Create and maintain your account; send magic-link and transactional mail
  • Process subscriptions and entitlements
  • Understand product usage and fix bugs
  • Respond to email and support requests
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms

We do not sell personal information. We do not use product data to train public AI models as a product feature.

How we share information

We share data only with processors who help us run Glasslab, for example:

ProcessorPurpose

International transfers

Infrastructure may process data in the United States and other countries where our providers operate (for example Google, Vercel, Stripe). If you use Glasslab from Canada or elsewhere, you understand that data may leave your province or country subject to those providers’ safeguards.

Retention

  • Email correspondence: kept as needed to reply and for ordinary business records.
  • Account data: kept while your account is active; we may delete or anonymize after inactivity or on verified request where feasible.
  • Billing records: retained as needed for accounting, tax, and dispute handling.
  • Logs / analytics / error reports: retained for a limited operational period, then deleted or aggregated.

Your choices & rights (Canada)

Depending on applicable law (including Canadian privacy law such as PIPEDA where it applies), you may request:

  • Access to personal information we hold about you
  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion of your account/data where we are not required to keep it

Contact hello@glasslab.app. We may need to verify you control the account email before acting.

  • Manage Google account permissions for Google sign-in
  • Manage or cancel Stripe subscriptions via the customer portal when offered in-app

Children

Glasslab products are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided data, contact hello@glasslab.app and we will delete it where appropriate.

Security

We use industry-standard provider controls (HTTPS, managed auth, restricted server secrets). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password on your Google account if you sign in with Google.

Third-party links & marks

Our sites may link to Meta, Stripe, or other third parties. Their privacy policies govern those services. Meta, Ray-Ban, and related marks belong to their owners.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. For material changes affecting product accounts, we may also notify in-app or by email when practical.
